DIY Holiday Treats

Hey guys, it’s Ro! And it’s the holiday season which is the perfect time for some tasty treats, I love this time of year and today I’m gonna share some fun and easy recipe ideas Let’s get started! The 1st treat that we’re gonna be making are these cute Melted Snowman Cookies, I found this recipe on the Country Crock website and I really like this recipe because they’re chewy and soft

The things you will need to make these cookies are: 1 cup of Country Crock, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 2 and 2/3 cup of flour, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and to decorate we’re gonna need some peanut butter cups, we’re gonna need regular and bite size, orange sprinkles, vanilla cookie icing and black cookie icing The 1st thing that we’re gonna do is in our big mixing bowl, we are gonna cream together our spread and sugar, we’re gonna beat these together for about 3 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy! Next we’re gonna add in our egg and vanilla, and then beat them together until they’re well combined! I’m using a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is being mixed evenly Oh, and I found this cute little holiday spatula, how adorbs! Now we’re gonna add the flour, baking powder, and salt Salty, salty, salty! Salty, salty, salty! And we’re gonna mix together for the last time until everything is well combined Once your dough is all mixed up, we’re gonna take the tablespoon measurement and scoop 2 tablespoons

1, bloop, and 2, bloop! Of the dough and roll them together to make our cookies I like to take a little bit of flour, sprinkle it in your hand so that they don’t stick And once you’ve rolled your ball, place it onto an un-greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart, do that to the rest of your cookies And now we’re gonna bake these in the oven at 375 for 12 to 14 minutes or until they start to turn light golden brown Once your cookies are done baking and they’ve had plenty of time to cool, we are gonna decorate them, starting with our vanilla cookie icing

I’ve put the icing into a plastic bag with a number 2 tip at the end for a little bit more control You are gonna trace a squiggly outline on the top of your cookies, and then you’re gonna fill it in! Do this to all of your cookies and let them set for about 10 minutes, and while they are setting, we’re gonna make some snowman hats out of peanut butter cups! 1st, cut the bite size peanut butter cup in half, then cut the larger, fun size peanut butter cup in half and cut off the bottom for the rim of the hat Now you’re gonna stack them together and place them on top of your cookies Boop, boop! To make the snowman’s face you’re gonna grab your cookie icing again and trace a circle underneath the peanut butter cup and fill it in While the icing is still wet, add a little orange sprinkle on top of each cookie for the nose! Now for the final decoration step, we’re gonna take our black icing with a number 2 tip and add his little eyeballs! Boop, boop, ba-doop! They’re so cute! Ta-da! Here are our melted snowman cookies, snowmen are one of my favorite things about the holidays, so many great memories building them with my family in the yard growing up

Also, I love this recipe, the cookies are so chewy! Om-yum-yum-yum-yum! Now onto our next treat, we’re gonna be making Mini Reindeer Donuts! The things you will need, will be: Mini chocolate donuts, mini pretzels, a bowl of round red candies and a bowl of white sugar pearl candies The 1st thing that we’re gonna do is make antlers out of our little pretzels! Take one of the pretzels over to the cutting board, I’m using a serrated knife, and gently cut the pretzel down the middle Ew-ew-ew-erew-erew-erew-erew! OK! Just like that! Now do this to the rest of your pretzels for as many reindeer donuts as you’d like to make You are gonna take your donut and take 2 pretzel antlers and gently press them into the top of the donut Then take a red candy and place it right in the middle for his little nose! Lastly you’re gonna take 2 small pearl candies and press them to make 2 little reindeer eyeballs! Ta-da! Here are our Reindeer Donuts! I love this treat because they are so easy to make! They’re a great idea if you’re in a hurry to a holiday party and you guys know me, I like my chocolate covered pretzels, so salty and sweet! For the last recipe, we’re gonna be making something very near to my heart

Every Christmas morning my family makes pancakes, so in honor of that tradition we are gonna be making Snowman Pancakes! The things you will need, will be: 1 cup of flour, 3/4 cup of milk, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of spread, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla extract, some bacon, chocolate chips and some marshmallows 1st thing that we’re gonna do is whisk together all of our dry ingredients, in a big mixing bowl you’re gonna add your flour, baking powder and sugar And then whisk it up! Wh-whisk it up! Wh-whisk it up! Whisk, whisk! Next we’re gonna add in our wet ingredients, melt your spread in the microwave and pour it into our flour mixture, along with 1 egg, our vanilla extract, and milk! Whisk this all together until the batter is combined, and once it’s all mixed we’re gonna take it over to the stove and make some pancakes! Grease your pan and then set your stovetop heat to medium-low To make these snowman pancakes I’m using a 1/2 tablespoon I use 1 scoop for the head and 3 scoops for the body

You want a little circle on the top and a big circle on the bottom You can also push the batter around just a little bit in the pan to make your shapes When you see the little bubbles start to form around the edges of the pancake, you’ll know it’s time to flip ‘em over! Once your pancakes are done, we are gonna cook up some bacon to make the snowman’s little scarf Turn your heat up to medium-high and put a few strips down in your pan Once your bacon is done cooking, take the strips off and put them on a plate with some paper towels to catch the grease that might drip off

Now it’s time for my favorite part, we’re gonna decorate! You’re gonna take 3 chocolate chips, put 2 for his eyes, 1 for his nose and then 3 down the middle for buttons! Then to keep your little snowman warm, we’re gonna give him a bacon scarf! Tear the bacon in half, and assemble So fashionable! So much fashion! Now you’re gonna take your little marshmallows, yum, yum, yum! And place them at the bottom to look like snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Now you can decorate the rest of your snowmen! Ta-da! Here are all the holiday treats that we made We made our Melted Snowmen Sugar Cookies, Om-nom-nom-nom-nom! Mini Reindeer Donuts, I love the little pretzel antlers, so cute! And Snowman Pancakes with their yummy Bacon Scarves! I hope you guys enjoyed this video and you have some happy holidays, Thank you for watching, and a thank you to Country Crock for partnering with me to make this video Alright, bye-bye you guys!
