Hey guys, it’s Ro! Welcome to another Nerdy Nummies! Today I am gonna be making something I got so many requests for You guys were saying: Ro, please make the Nerdy Nummies Cookie! How did you make that cute little cookie? So today, I am gonna show you how to make the little Nerdy Nummies Smart Cookie! Let’s get started! The 1st thing that we’re gonna do is actually make the glasses, we’re gonna start with decoration because cookie icing takes about 6-8 hours to dry, I did mine the night before, so you might want to do this the night before

But what you’re gonna need is… I made this little template, I’ll put a link down below to the PDF Version, or the JPEG, so that if you’d like the template, you can download that And you’re gonna need a cookie pan and a piece of wax paper And then you’re just gonna put the template down into the pan, tape it down 1 on the top, 1 on the bottom, and then you’re gonna take your piece of wax paper, put it on the top, and you’re also gonna tape that down so it won’t move You’re gonna need 2 colors of cookie icing, black and pink, and I’ve just put the cookie icing into a plastic bag, and I put a number 2 tip on the bottom

And I have tape on me… Hmmm-hmmm! OK, and now you’re just gonna trace the outline of the glasses Once you’ve drawn all your little glasses, ah they look so cute! We are just gonna let them sit, put them aside for 5-6 hours and don’t put them in the fridge and don’t put them in the oven, just let them sit out somewhere dry at room temperature, and while these are drying, and they’re hardening and setting, we are gonna make our chocolate chip cookies The things you will need to make these yummy chocolate chip cookies is going to be: 2 cups of flour, 3/4 cup of regular sugar, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 2 eggs, 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips, yum yum yum yum, which also equals, uh, 2 cups, 2 sh-ticks of butter, which equals 1 cup, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract I’m also using a whisk and a Kitchenaid, but if you don’t have, uh, a Kitchenaid stand mixer, you can just use an electric hand mixer OR, you can get a wooden spoon and really mix it up yourself! The 1st thing that we’re going to do is combined our flour, and our salt, and our baking soda

Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee! I love these little things, they’re, they’re like rubber! Arr ber-ber-ber! I found these at like World Market, these are so funny OK, and then you’re gonna take your whisk, mix all your dry ingredients together in this bowl Now in this bowl, we’re going to cream together our butter, our sugar, and brown sugar And last but not least, a teaspoon of vanilla extract Lock, and loaded! Dig-uh dig-uh dig-uh dig-uh dig-uh dig-uh dig-uh! Once that’s mixed, you’re gonna add 2 eggs! 1… 2! Then you’re gonna mix it up again, and then once the eggs are combined you’re gonna slowly add your flour, just slowly shake it in there

Oh yeah! Huh-huh! COOKIE DOUGH! Alright, smells so good! Our cookie dough is ready for us to fold in the chocolate chips! So, what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna fold in all of your chocolate chips, this is 12 ounces But I’ve set aside a little handful and these are for the details on the chocolate chip So just take handful and set a few aside for after the cookies bake Trust me! It’ll be so cute! Just pour in the rest! Oh! Chocolate! Oh, I, I opened it a really… Horrible way! I make it rain! I make it rain! Alright, now you’re just gonna fold in all of these yummy chocolate chips! This looks so good! Our chocolate chip cookie dough is all ready to bake, so now you’re just gonna take, I got a tablespoon measurer, and my baking sheet, and I’m just gonna scoop a big tablespoon serving Oh ewp! Look at him he’s excited! And you’re just gonna put it on the sheet

Leave a couple of inches on each side of the cookie, because these cookies will flatten out and expand Now you’re gonna heat your oven to 375 and you’re gonna bake these cookies for about 9 minutes, or until they turn golden brown! After your cookies are done baking, you’re gonna take them out of the oven, and give them about a minute or two to cool, but while they’re still warm, we’re gonna put on those extra chocolate chips that we set aside right here The Nerdy Nummies cookie has 6 distinctive chocolate chips, so I’ve just placed them on the top like this I’ve done them to these cookies, but I left this 1 so you could see Just make sure you put them on the top and the very bottom, because you want to make sure you leave room for the glasses… Ding! In the middle! Now you’re gonna take your cookie icing glasses, and I’m taking a sharp knife, and we’re gonna remove them from the wax paper

This is the part where you want to be really gentle, they are a little bit fragile, so just be gentle And then, you’re just gonna place them in the middle of the cookie! Now the last step is you’re gonna take your black and pink cookie icings, I’ve put them in plastic bags, frosting bags, and I put number 2 tips at the end, these little metal tips And we’re just gonna draw the little eyeballs and the cheeks on every cookie! Ta-da! Here are our Nerdy Nummies smart cookies! They’re so cute! Thanks you guys for suggesting it This chocolate chip recipe is super yummy and very easy, so I would say it is easy mode!
