Hey guys it's Ro, welcome to another Nerdy Nummies! Today, as you can tell, I am dressed as Baker-Princess Peach because I'm gonna be baking something that I've never made on Nerdy Nummies before! I love peach cobbler! I've been looking for an excuse to make it, so I thought: "Why not theme it?" Today I'm gonna be making Princess Peach Cobbler! Let's get started! The things you will need will be 1/3 Cup of old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/3 Cup of flour, 1/3 Cup of light brown sugar and 6 tablespoons of butter Then for the peach filling, you're gonna need five little peaches, one teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of the light brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour
You'll also need some ramekins because I'm making individual size, I got these little pink ones at Michael's Last but not least, you'll need two mixing bowls Now let's put it all together! Peachy! The first thing that we're gonna do is make our peach crumble Soooo, gotta take off mah princess gloves 'cuz it's time to use the hands I bet you guys didn't know that Princess Peach has teal nails underneath those fancy white gloves! That's right, that's actually her favorite color, it's not pink, it's teal! But the Mushroom Kingdom wouldn't allow it, so we gotta keep it on the D-L! All right, let's get started
First you're gonna combine your "light" brown sugar and your oats and your flour, and then your butter You're gonna take a sharp cutting-knife and you're just gonna cut it into a bunch of little chunks Then you're gonna sprinkle 'em in the bowl, little chunks! Now it's time for this princess to do some manual labor! You're gonna take your hands Make sure you've washed your hands, they're nice and clean! and you're just gonna mix it all up! You'll know it's ready when it all sticks together, you want it to be like one chunk of dough Now that we've got our crumble all mixed up, now we're gonna put this in the refrigerator and just let it hang out there while we make our peach-filling! Omm-nom-nom-nom-num! Let's go! "Peachy!" All right now to make our peach-filling
The first thing that we're gonna do is cut our peaches into little chunks You can cut them into slices but because we're using the little ramekins, they just fit better if they're peach-chunks! You're just gonna cut all the way around, twist 'em apart and then you're gonna take out this little- Is it a nut? I don't know what it is! A seed? A pit? A peach-pit! That's what it is! I'm gonna flip 'em like that, cut the little slices first Be careful, don't get your fingers! All right, then I'm gonna turn 'em this way and to get chunks, then you just cut 'em the other way Then you're just gonna take all these little peach-chunks and put 'em in the bowl and do this to the rest of your peaches Now we've got all the peaches cut up in the bowl, now we are gonna add one teaspoon of vanilla extract Bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloopbewmp! Then we're gonna add our flour- 2 tablespoons of flour Then you're gonna add your brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar And then you're gonna mix it up! Just got a spoon here, just work it in! Just keep mixing until everything is evenly combined! We've got our peach-filling, we've got our crumble and now we're gonna put it together
You're just gonna scoop a bunch of peach-filling into the ramekin Fill it to the top! Feel free to fill it a little fuller than normal because it shrinks down in the oven when they're baking! All right, once it's filled, you're just gonna take some crumble- This is the fun part! Ohhhh I love this, it tastes so good baked! And just spread it over the top Once these are done, it tastes so good- If you put vanilla ice cream on top too, ooooooh- Yummy, yummy, yummy! There they are, they're all ready and then you can just make as many as you want, and you're gonna heat your oven to 350 and you're gonna bake these for 25 minutes
Once your peach cobblers are done baking, make sure they've had plenty of time to cool and now we are gonna add some bling-decorations to them to make them Princess Peach themed! I got this yellow paint-pen at Michael's and we're gonna be drawing little Princess Peach Crowns on the side of our ramekin I thought this was such a cute idea for like Birthday Parties or Game Night-themed Parties! The other thing that you're gonna need are these self-stick gems I got this at Michael's as well We're gonna be using the color Red and this Royal Blue color Lets decorate and add some bling on these things! Ta-daaaaaaaaaaa! Here are all the Princess Peach Cobblers that we made today, they smell so good and look at 'em! I love the little crowns! So cute! Oooooh!
